Responsibilities:

AIM’s software stack involving Python and C++

Ensure smooth integration with AIM robotic hardware stack

Uphold production quality codebase

Take ownership of new initiatives

Required Qualifications:

in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent experience.

At least 3-5 years combined graduate academic and professional software development experience.

Strong C++ and Python skills.

Passion for rigorous software engineering practices and code health (code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, automated e2e testing, …)

Experience with ROS.

Linux development experience.

Demonstrated success working as part of a cross-functional team

Bonus Qualifications:

5+ years combined graduate academic and professional software development experience.

M.S./PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent experience.

Ackerman steered or other wheeled vehicles.

Off-road Autonomy.

2D motion planning.

Dynamics and controls for mobile robots.

Common ROS planning modules such as SBPL, OMPL, or MoveIt.

Visual odometry, mapping, and SLAM.

Control during aggressive vehicle maneuvers.

Embedded systems and real time applications.
