Systems Integration Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and driven Systems Integration Engineer who will play a critical role in the
design, development, integration, and landing of elegant solutions for demanding industrial environments. You
will be responsible for leading hardware development projects from concept to production, ensuring that our
products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and safety. You will optimize for elegance
enabling efficient manufacturability and seamless integration with underlying OEM platforms. This role
requires a proven track record of successfully deploying complex physical systems in the real-world.

        Responsibilities

          - Lead Hardware Design: Take ownership of the entire hardware development lifecycle, from
            requirements
gathering and conceptualization to design, prototyping, testing, and production.
- Develop Elegant Robust Solutions: Design and develop industrial-grade hardware, including:
            - Embedded systems and PCBs
- Sensor integration and signal conditioning
- Power electronics and motor control
- Industrial communication interfaces (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus)
- Gateways and interfaces for automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN)
- Ensure Reliability & Safety: Design for harsh environments, considering factors like temperature
extremes, vibration, electromagnetic interference (EMI), and safety compliance (e.g., UL, CE).
- Optimize for DFM: Design hardware with a strong emphasis on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) to
ensure efficient and cost-effective production. Experience in designing for manufacturability, including
vendor management, component selection, PCB layout optimization, and assembly considerations.
- Integrate with Automotive Systems: Develop hardware solutions that seamlessly integrate with
            existing
automotive systems and architectures, considering factors like power management, communication
            protocols, and electromagnetic compatibility.
Qualifications

          - Proven Experience: Real-world experience in industrial integration with at least 2 product
            landings.
- Taming Complexity: Ability to decompose complex problems into ruthless first principles thinking
            and lead the
            way to landing elegant solutions.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in bringing complex, ideally automotive, systems from
            concept to
production and deployment in real-world applications.
- Strong Technical Skills: PCB layout in Altium, circuit design, embedded systems development,
            sensor
integration and signal conditioning, EMI/EMC compliance and testing
- Automotive Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with automotive wiring harnesses, wiring harnesses,
            communication
protocols, power systems, Microcontroller Units (MCUs), and electronic control units (ECUs).
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex
            technical
            challenges.
- Communication & Leadership: Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate
            with
cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical engineers, manufacturing engineers, test
            engineers, and customers.
Bonus Qualifications

          - Experience with industrial automation systems and PLCs.
- Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 26262).
- Experience with hazardous location certifications (e.g., ATEX, IECEx).
